The C.M.H Foundation

Serving with HONOR those who SERVED us

Our Story: Turning Battles into Breakthroughs

Founded in 2019 by Stephanie Hayes, the CMH Foundation (CMHF) was born out of love, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to serve. Inspired by the life and legacy of Dr. Hayes, a decorated veteran and devoted healer, our mission began as a way to support the very man who had spent decades supporting others.

Dr. Hayes returned home from the Vietnam War not just with medals and memories, but with invisible wounds: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and long-term effects of carbon monoxide exposure. Despite his ailments, his faith remained unshakable, helping him face adversity head-on. But even the strongest among us face giants.

That truth fuels CMHF’s commitment: to create spaces of healing and renewal for veterans who continue to battle the emotional scars of war. Far too many service members return home only to find themselves in new wars—internal ones marked by depression, anxiety, and isolation. Our mission is to offer them a push-start toward normalcy—toward peace.

But our story doesn't stop there.

Dr. and Mrs. Hayes have also dedicated their lives to supporting displaced women and children—those whose voices are often unheard. Through women’s empowerment conferences and the creation of safe, nurturing youth group homes, CMHF strives to provide more than shelter. We offer opportunity, stability, and hope.

At CMHF, we believe healing is possible. Whether you're a veteran seeking peace or a mother seeking safety for her children, we're here to help turn your battle into a breakthrough.

Who We Are

Our GOALS

Low-Cost Housing for Displaced Veterans and Homeless Mothers

At CMH Foundation, our 3-year strategic plan is focused on providing lasting support to those who need it most. We are committed to offering safe, affordable housing for displaced veterans and single mothers, coupled with life skills training and motivational support to help them rebuild and thrive.

In addition to housing, we are proud to introduce a scholarship program designed for students who demonstrate a strong commitment to education and community service. This initiative reflects our belief that access to opportunity can change the course of a life—and a generation.

With your support, we can make these goals a reality. Every donation helps create a pathway to self-sufficiency, stability, and success for families and individuals in need.

Join us in building a stronger, more compassionate community—one home, one skill, and one future at a time.
